Our flagship India Pale Lager showcases a copper color that gives way to a crisp, clean lager beer perfectly balanced in its massive complexity. Dry-hopped and aged on an in-house toasted blend of white and red oaks. The IPL finishes clean and smooth, with hop aromas of wild flowers and pine, and a unique maltiness highlighted by the subtle oak character.

Poured from a 22 OZ alumitek bottle into a pint glass. The appearance is a slightly cloudy light brown color with a large tan head. The aroma is malt with some hops. The taste is brown sugar, hops and malt.

Poured into a lager glass, the appearance was a mellow burnt amber to orange color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head. Just trickled off pretty quick, some messy lace. The aroma had some freshly cut grass, light citrus, fresh pine needles and a light caramel malt/bready base. The flavor resided with some hop bitterness, somewhat bitter yet sweet through the pine and citrus. Light citrusy to piney and bready aftertaste. Quick hoppy finish, somewhat bitter. The palate was almost medium bodied, just seemed to be a touch under with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt good. Overall, pretty good India pale lager that I could have again.

22oz bottle in a Spiegelau glass.
Look - pours a deep amber color with a gigantic off-white head that sticks around awhile. The bubbles are creamy and form a cap on top for the whole session. There is some really nice lacing initially, but it subsides towards the end.
Smell - the aroma overall is quite subtle, but there is a nice complexity as well. I get sweet, bready malts upfront along with floral hops and some slight citrusy notes.
Taste - Again, it begins with sweet bready and caramel malts. You get some of those floral hops, and it finishes with a good amount of bitterness along with citrus notes.
Feel - great carbonation, smooth body, crisp finish.

This beauty is a fiery deep orange with red hues in the depth. It grows a fantastic off-white head that's an extremely creamy 2 fingers tall. It remains at its height for a good while and only drops very slowly, never to the point at which you can see the beer underneath the creamy layer, and leaves a film of lacing on the entire glass.]
The aroma is hoppy with some minty leaf, wood, and a sweetness that's hard to define. It's just a little bit understated considering the flavor.
This well-hopped beer shows some citrus up front, almost like candied orange peel with the sweet and bitter melding. It's also a bit minty with a hint of basil to it before some woody earth comes in with a creamy vanilla note running just underneath. There's good complexity, it's hop-forward, and it's well balanced.
Creamy and smooth but with a good crisp bite, this lager holds up a firm medium body that makes for pretty easy drinking. Some light bitterness lingers for a while, but is very soft on the palate.

Pours a hazy golden amber, head is thick and even. A slight off-bone color. Aroma is a confusion between hops and some sweet, rotted wildflower. Lacing is thin but legit, gracing the sides of the glass throughout the entire session. A circular Jackson Pollack of foam trace. Well done.

Taste is biscuity with hoppy resin and sweet cream. There's a sour pomegranate tinge leaning towards honey, as they're claiming but goes more to jam for me. For a lager it's creamy and heavier than I expected, the caramel malt adding an oak gesture and the mouthful is therefore very nice. Nothing pops, and it hides the alcohol well, like a malt liquor. Wow, can't believe I said that -- or know what that means.

Finish is dry and a little bitter, moves it closer to IPA territory rather than feeling like a lager. They suggest warming it in a cold river in the can and that's what I should have done. As it warms the malt and biscuit flavor begin to coalesce much more nicely, especially in the dry aftertaste.

Nothing spectacular and the rather wonky aroma puts me off every time I raise the glass for another sip and gets in the way of rating this higher for me.
