Thanks Jeff for sharing this one!

Pale canary yellow gold, hazed a little with the occasional rising bubble. Fizzy white head settles immediately to a thin ring at the edges.

Bright sour acidity in the aroma, minerals and sourdough yeast.

Sharp sourness, intensely lactic, crisp and puckering. Cheeks cave in, sourness felt in the teeh. Lemon juice and crabapple. Juicy and quenching. Overall a very sour but quite enjoyable Berliner Weisse. (444 characters)

750ml 69(dude!)/200, courtesy of the most generous Steasy66.

Appearance. Pours a hazy gold-straw with a finger of frothy white head. Looks just right for the style.

Smell. Sour grainy wheat and some funky yeast.

Taste. Some lightly toasted wheat with decent lemon-like sourness, just a hint of yeast. Very clean finish.

Mouthfeel. Light body with medium, lively carbonation. Very nice.

Overall. Crisp, clean, and great flavour for such a low abv beer. I love this style and this one represents it very well. Really enjoying this and would drink it every week if I could.

Thanks again, Ryan!! (599 characters)

From 05/19/13 notes. Thanks to Patrick from WTWBA for bringing this one out. Bottle said 39/60 on it.

a - Pours a hazy golden yellow color with two inches of white head and moderate carbonation evident.

s - Smells of yeast, spice, light funk, lightly sour citrus, and wheat. Nose is very light but some nice citrus to it.

t - Tastes of lemon rinds, citrus, wheat, funk, yeast, earthy notes, spice, bready malts, and light must. Little too strong lemon for me, not as nice as the nose.

m - Light body and moderate carbonation. Easy to drink, not too carbonated. Pretty nice.

o - Overall a decent berliner, though my least favorite of the three PD beers I tried this weekend. Lots of lemon rinds in the taste, and the nose is nice but not very strong. Wouldn't kill myself to find it, but if you come across it maybe worth giving it a shot. (843 characters)

Draft & Bottle. Had this on draft at ABR with raspberry added. At the time I really enjoyed it as it cut through all the heavier beers I had enjoyed that day and was refreshing on what was a pretty warm day. The raspberry really added some sweetness to the beer but pretty much dominated the flavor. When I had a chance to try the bottle is where the base beer really became apparent. Poured a hazy light straw color with a white head. Light lemon tartness in the nose with green apple aroma as well. Light mouthfeel with good carbonation. The flavor is ok with notes of the lemon but I really get more tart green apple than I would have liked. Ovarall, not bad but not the best berliner I have had. Would be a great beer on a hot day. (735 characters)

Not sure where Todd got this, but apparently I'm the first person to review a beer from this brewery. Bottle #92/200.

A - White foam quickly settles to nothing. Hazy and slightly milky pale yellow body.

S - Smells like a very traditional Berliner. A light, crisp, wheat beer with a mild lactic kick to it. There's a hint of waxy apple skin and perhaps plastic, but otherwise this is pretty much a really conservative Berliner in the mold of Bahnhof.

T - The flavor is quite tame, with mostly wheat and yeast, and only a mild lactic bite to it. A fair bit of flavor for only 2.7%, but somewhat dull.

M - Light body, with soft, pleasant carbonation. Somewhat grainy texture, and a tad watery. For a 2.7% beer it's more than acceptable.

D - There's nothing really wrong with this beer, but it's a bit boring on the whole. For a first attempt at a Berliner I'd be reasonably satisfied with the accuracy and lack of off flavors, but I'd probably tweak the recipe a bit to get a bit more tartness and heft. (1,005 characters)
