Body is a golden amber shade with a brief white head. Nice clarity on the first pour, with increased cloudiness on subsequent pours. Aroma has a buttery, lactic character, along with some green apple and citrus. Flavor pops with fruityness - tart green apple and something I associate with white wine. Mouthfeel is crisp with lively carbonation that compliments the bright, sharp flavors. Although there’s some sweetness, it has a dry finish, with a moderate amount of lingering spice (presumably from the coriander).

Being unfamiliar with Gose, it’s tough to rate this to style. But it is clearly a well-made beer as well as one that I thoroughly enjoyed and thus, graded on those merits. Will look for this if/when it is brewed again.

Thanks Steasy66! Bottle 55/2000.

Appearance. Pours a nice orange-gold with a little haze and a finger of off white head that quickly fades to a collar.

Smell. Grainy light malts and lactic sourness. Also a little lemon, tart apple and some briny saltiness, the first time I've every actually picked up the salt smell in a gose I think.

Taste. Sour lemon, a little caramel and wheaty malt. There's a light saltiness that's really nice with the sour.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with medium low, fairly fine carbonation. There's also a slight unique drying feeling in the finish that I can only assume comes form the salt.

Overall. A nice gose that's hitting the spot after a morning of hard work. Couldn't ask for a better fluid replenishment! Thanks again Ryan.

Big thanks to Cyclone8 for sending this bottle down! Reviewed from notes. Poured from 750 mL bottle into a Tampa Bay Brewing Company snifter.

A: Pours a medium amber (much darker than expected), and hazy. Forms a finger's worth of white head with average visible carbonation.

S: Fleshy fruit (apple and pear), tart, light cracker malts and wheat with minimal graininess.

T: Tart and acidic, again with crisp pears and apples, and dry. Restrained funky barnyard, wheat malts, noticeable saltiness near the end, but not overdone. Very dry on the finish with a light tartness.

M: A light body in general, but heavier than many examples of style. Good carbonation sensation and essentially no alcohol presence to speak of.

O: I thought this was pretty tasty. A bit heavier on the malt bill and lighter on the salinity (despite its name) for style, but has a nice tart and funk balance. Very glad to have gotten to try this one.

From 05/19/13 notes. Missed the bottle #; 750ml bottle like their other ones.

a - Pours a hazy yellow-orange color with two inches of white head and moderate carbonation evident.

s - Smells of citrus, lemon, fruity malts, apples, and wheat. Citrus up front, fruits throughout the nose. Very nice, though not sour at all.

t - Tastes of citrus, lemons, sour fruits, salt, wheat, sour white wine, apples, bready malts, grapefruit, and some fruity malts. A step up from the nose as there was a good amount of sour fruits and citrus here that the nose was lacking.

m - Light to medium body and low to moderate carbonation. Pretty easy to drink; could have drank the whole bottle.

o - Overall a really nice gose; one of the better ones I've had in a while. Had some nice sour citrus and white wine in the taste, and the salt is there but not heavy. Worth checking out, would certainly have it again.
