Poured from tap into a pint glass. Pours a dark toffee color.

Balanced aromas of toffee, caramel, some spice.

Medium/full bodied with a real nice feel. Good balance with really good flavors of toffee, caramel, bitter hops and some navel oranges.

A very good EIPA. Well balanced and you don't taste the alcohol at all.

Definitely the best thing about this beer is its appearance. Nothing else, except the ABV reflects anything close to a traditional or even recognizable IPA. Almost no hops in the nose, very little in the taste, body is not bad except there's some missing characteristics that the hops give to the mouth feel. And of course the finish sums all of this up. I can hardly imagine how a more forgettable beer could be made.

On tap at a fancy hotel bar. The bartender said it was better than GI's Green Line, so my guess is she gets a cut out of each pint she sells.

Tastes like a decent homebrew IPA. Medium-alpha hops of no clear origin, lightly thick syrup malt, and a wee little hint of extract medicinalness. Not very good for a commercially sold beer. It actually tastes little bit like something from Minhas or Cold Springs--has the same nodes of poison--but thankfully the hops are okay and are strong enough to blot most of that out.

I could finish it, but I certainly would not recommend--especially in a city that has literally 10 excellent house IPAs at its disposal.

This pours a clear golden color with a slight foamy head with a slightly bitter aroma. The taste is smooth and has a very sour/bitter tone. There is a flavor that tastes like old sour water that distracts from the overall taste. This could definitely use some work and improvements.

Appearance: Clean, crisp, and golden. Excellent carbonation and lacing.

Smell: Raisins and licorice. Maple syrup in the finish. A tad sweet for an IPA.

Taste/Mouthfeel: Extremely malty. Sweet caramel (even some chocolate). Some more raisins. Again, a tad sweet for the style. Clean, moderate mouthfeel.

Overall: Not a great example of the style, but a good beer nonetheless.

Poured into an english pint. Pours a clear golden with a big, dense, white head that dissipates slowly into a cap. A lot of visible carbonation and a lot of lacing on the glass. Aroma is butterscotch and toffee up front, with peach, apple, mango, and bubblegum in the background. The best way to describe the tongue is that there is layers of sweet fruit and butterscotch all down the tongue, but it finishes somewhat bitter, and that lingers around long after everything else. I feel like I can drink a few of these, but it's too big and syrupy to call it sessionable.

Overall: I have spoken to the brewers about this beer, and they call it an english IPA, but I think a better label would be an english strong ale. I think the name should be changed from IPA to something else. If you only drink IPAs, then don't buy this. If you drink other beer styles, then this is a good choice.
