Bottle from Gtermi...thanks Cody!

Pour: Black beer with one inch light brown head leaving moderate lacing.

Smell: Chocolate, coffee, roasted malts but just big time sweetness all over the place.

Taste: Coffee upfront. Lots of coffee actually. Following this up is a bitter dark chocolate and a lot of sweetness. I get a faint vanilla and some oak notes. The finish is hard to describe. Not sure if it is hops or just a lot of bitter dark chocolate.

Mouthfeel: Heavy side of medium and very creamy and silky smooth. I really do not get the 9.1% in this at all.

Overall: I'm not a fan of milk stouts in general but this one is by far the most enjoyable one I've had yet. Still will not go out of my way to purchase this style but I could drink The Temptress every once in a while if it were available to me.

Another extra from BullDoza...stoked to try this one as I love a good milkstout

Bottled on date states 6.18.14. Poured into a Woodshop 7th Anniversary tasting glass. Upon opening the bottle there is very little carbonation. A vigorous pour confirms slight but not a ton of carbonation. Appearance is black. Not viscous though. Smells of chocolate and coffee...not a lot of lactose though. Taste is smooth. Slightly sweet. The lactose makes itself known but is more sugary than sweet. Milk chocolate notes. It's almost like a toned down (but imperial version of Left Hand Nitro). Mouthfeel is decent.

Overall, it's a good beer, but it's certainly not the best milk stout I've had. I still rank Beachwood's Udder Love and Left Hand's Nitro the two best that I've had. Still, a decent beer. Cheers!

This pours out a very dark black beer with a small layering of tan foam on top of it. Aroma is pleasant, with sweet notes of toffee and caramel. The taste... it's far beyond the nose in complexity: delightful lactose--tinted sweetness, nicely balanced by bitterness that sneaks in, both hop bitterness but also dark malt bitterness. There's a sensation of vanilla in there as well, and it's certainly a warming, strong beer. Silky smooth but full bodied.

Not a style I typically seek out, but this is wonderfully crafted and really interesting.
