12 oz bottle courtesy of fthomasl pours a rich black color with a dense cap of khaki head. Nice retention and great lacing.

Nose is sweet chocolate with a mild plum fruit and brown bread. Smells like a milk stout, thats for sure.

Taste starts with chocolate and mild roast, followed up with a surprising amount of grassy hop. The finish is long and dusty with the alcohol finally making its presence known. The mouthfeel is very nice, the beer is perfectly carbonated and the body is silky smooth. It is not as heavy and sweet as I thought from the aroma, but it is more than enough to compliment a 8.5% ABV. This is quite a tasty treat, I am looking forward to getting some more of this on my next trip up to the metroplex!

Another extra from BullDoza...stoked to try this one as I love a good milkstout

Bottled on date states 6.18.14. Poured into a Woodshop 7th Anniversary tasting glass. Upon opening the bottle there is very little carbonation. A vigorous pour confirms slight but not a ton of carbonation. Appearance is black. Not viscous though. Smells of chocolate and coffee...not a lot of lactose though. Taste is smooth. Slightly sweet. The lactose makes itself known but is more sugary than sweet. Milk chocolate notes. It's almost like a toned down (but imperial version of Left Hand Nitro). Mouthfeel is decent.

Overall, it's a good beer, but it's certainly not the best milk stout I've had. I still rank Beachwood's Udder Love and Left Hand's Nitro the two best that I've had. Still, a decent beer. Cheers!

This pours out a very dark black beer with a small layering of tan foam on top of it. Aroma is pleasant, with sweet notes of toffee and caramel. The taste... it's far beyond the nose in complexity: delightful lactose--tinted sweetness, nicely balanced by bitterness that sneaks in, both hop bitterness but also dark malt bitterness. There's a sensation of vanilla in there as well, and it's certainly a warming, strong beer. Silky smooth but full bodied.

Not a style I typically seek out, but this is wonderfully crafted and really interesting.
