Had on cask at flying saucer in ft worth
A- dark as midnight
S- strong aroma of coffee, like waking up
T - a very stout brew balanced well with coffee and chocolate notes.
M - thick but smooth
O - one of the best stouts I've had. The cask likely adds quite a bit of flavor too.

Poured on tap into a tall thin stout glass at the keep the glass party at Craft and Growler. Reviewed from notes.

Appearance: It's a stout. It's dark brown/black, with a small beige head. What a surprise.

Smell: Loads of creamy, roasty coffee, bitter dark chocolate, and sweet cream.

Taste: Did I mention there was a lot of coffee flavor in this? The sweet cream of the lactose base provides a nice backbone to the bitterness of the coffee. The base has coffee notes to begin with, lots of dark roasted malts in it, but the bourbon-aged coffee and chicory really takes it to a new level. It's really amazing. The bitter dark chocolate sticks around on the end.

Mouthfeel: Thick and creamy, with mid carb. A bit higher than I'd expect for a stout this thick and luscious.

Overall: I was pleasantly surprised. Mole Temptress was comparatively disappointing so I was glad to see this variant was so damn tasty. Flavor reminded me quite a bit of Brunch Money, which really speaks more to how good a coffee stout Brunch Money is, considering it isn't technically a stout. Keep up the good work, Lakewood. You'll get a national reputation someday. Maybe after you start bottling these variants.
