On-tap at the brewery and served in a proper Weiss glass.

I'm going to keep this simple. This is one of the best US Weiss beers I've had the pleasure of drinking. The appearance is spot on, with good haze and a thick eggshell cap that sticks with the beer the whole way down the glass. Heavy banana and clove aromas greet the nose, followed by bready raw grains. The aromas flow nicely into the flavor, where they're joined by a dense body and lots of soft carbonation. Overall, this was a great beer. I will definitely have it again the next time I stop in.

For a US Weiss - Excellent
Served on tap in the classic weissbier glass, with a nice frothy head that almost reminds one of an ice cream cone.

This one really reminds me of being in Germany. This is not an American Wheat. This is the real deal. Excellent creamy mouthfeel with the yeasty clove-bannana notes that one associates with this style.

This is one of my favorite summer session beers. Hopefully Prost will start selling in a keg so I can enjoy this after some weekend yard work. Prost has done an excellent job of bringing the German Tradition to Denver.

Poured from the jug into my Tawandang weissbier glass from Bangkok. A lovely cloudy amber brew. Beautiful white foam in the tall glass. Spicy aromas.

Tart with the classic German esters. Hugely aromatic in the nose. This just seems very elegant and well made, everything in balance. Sensually malty, but a thinner body, perhaps, than some in this style. The cloves are complemented with something like tangerine. Rich yet thoroughly refreshing.

Really a tremendous Hefeweizen and great to see it available in growlers. From the half-gallon bought at Mayfair Liquors in Denver.

one of the best weiss beers being made in the usa id have to imagine. this one is pure and traditional, with a touch of colorado to it. it pours deep straw colored with a three inch white head of light foam that rests on top of the hefe glass its served in. it smells like bananas and shredded wheat, like a cereal bar or something. the flavor is delicious. the banana is still there, but its mellowed out by an allspice type flavor from the yeast, fresh mowed grass, and a sweetness that i cannot explain. it is extremely refreshing but maintains enough body to not be watery. this isnt girl beer, although any female beer drinker is sure to enjoy this. it aint a shocktop is what im trying to say here. its interesting and easy drinking. low abv makes it an all day beer. love it

Enjoyed at the brewery itself. Outdoor drinking was better with the natural light because it gave a rather luminous gold color that was just gorgeous to look at. Inside it was a more murky dark gold to light brownish color. Bright contrasting white head. Thick head, creamy, and meringue-like. Delight. Nose was very fresh with the traditional banana-clove alongside a few vanilla notes and yeasty/bready notes. On the palate I enjoyed what felt like a more desert-version of this beer as I got more of the vanilla with the banana-clove, soft malt flavors, and an almost dangerous drinkability from this amazing beer. Prost has hit this one out of the park.

On tap at Falling Rock before the official release

Appearance: Arrives with the liquid a cloudy honey color; the relatively modest head leaves a few streaks behind

Smell: Bready, with banana and clove phenols

Taste: Bready, with strong banana and clove flavors building by mid-palate; peppery spice elements build after the swallow, but the finish is dominated by the banana and clove flavors

Mouthfeel: Medium to full bodied; very creamy with moderately high carbonation

Overall: Having been impressed by the Dry Dock Hefe when Bill Eye was the brewer, I was expecting this to be a terrific beer and I was not disappointed
