Cool spot in an odd, but pretty good location. It's in a business district that's close to downtown, away from the tweakers, but it's not ideal. However, when you walk in, it's got lots of worn wood, big garage doors that were open, and quite a bit of outdoor seating,

Quality of their beers was good . I tried their DIPA and Pumpkin Saison. The DIPA was good, but a bit too skunky, and the Saison was very good, but it really lacked carbonation. I could tell that they are still dialing the beers in.

Service was good. Our server was both friendly and prompt.

Selection was nice. They only had 2 house beers, but there were about 10 other taps, and I saw Nøgne, Alaskan, Lagunitas, among others.

Only had a basket if fries, so I can't really comment on the food. (I did like the fries though)

Overall, a cool spot that I'll definitely revisit again, and I'm pretty sure the beer quality will get even better in time.

Fantastic new-ish spot for beer in Reno. Really liked the inside of this place. Booths and tables as you walk in with a nice bar in the back and a small bar mirroring the front one a few feet back from the main bar. Great atmosphere inside. They also have a lot of outdoor seating, which looked quite nice but no one was out there as it was very cold the day I was there.

I docked them a bit for selection because they were out of IPAs, but they had a number of other interesting beers, including a syrah saison and two excellent sours, one with persimmons and the other with spiced apple. Really thought all three of these beers were great, and unusual too. Their Belgian style pale ale was nice as well.

Service was friendly, as the bartender was happy to discuss what is currently fermenting and aging and what else the head brewer has been up to.

Very well worth your time to stop in here. Seems like they are doing some very interesting sour beers and barrel aged experiments. I will have to go back to try their IPAs.

Located on the corner of Arlington and California I believe, sits a place that I thought for about the first 6 months of its existence, was a furniture store.

But since jh1982 was in town for March Madness bottle share and work, we decided to head out and check it out the Wednesday night before the madness began. Real cool wood based motif on the outside and inside. Very nice. Cool location away from the dives, hipsters and degenerates on Virginia Ave and Midtown Reno.

Quality of the beers was seriously lacking. My dipa was terrible and probably infected. The licorice saison is just waaaay too much anise. The esb and wet hopped pale (in March?) were decent and interesting enough. Their guest list was kind of impressive, I mean, Abacus for like somewhere around $1/oz. Lagunitas WTF was also there, plus a few standard belgian staples.

Had just eaten at Beto's, so we didn't get any food, but I have to say, I don't know how long a place can last, when it is just starting out, charging $15 for some chicken wings. Maybe in NYC or London. But Reno? Much less Great Recession Reno?

Service was good. We were 2 of only 4 people at the bar, so its not like I'm going apeshit over it, it was better than average. Cute girls who don't seem to be full of themselves working.

This place has potential, good location, great decorations/woodwork, nice staff. Its really the beer that has me concerned, but that can improve with experience and time.

We'll see, my visit was good enough to warrant a return visit, but hopefully, the beer is better next time.

I was in Reno two days ago and remembered this micro just listed on BA, so I went to take a look.
The interior is done in new barn siding, with a few shelves with old farm implements on them.So for me at least a comfortable atmosphere.
This is a small micro with ten seats at the bar and seating for 25 more inside and 16 outside.
As for beer this is a micro and they brew beer but none, zero, zip it was all consumed at the soft opening and the next batch is not done yet, so guest taps, I think I counted 12.The prices seemed a bit high 7,8 and 9 dollars and many were 10oz pours.
I did not eat but two people sitting next to me had just finished so I asked how it was and they said average pub food.I sat at the bar and the bartender was super friendly and super fast, great service.
For those that dont live in Reno, Brewer's Cabinet is on Arlington just across the Truckee River from downtown, so an easy 10min walk from the downtown Casinos.
