the truth is that there isnt much to this beer, but that makes me like it even more. i enjoyed the pineapple version too, but it really doesnt need that. this is like a 4 sip pint of beer, just an absolute crusher. it has some body and some dry cereal malt flavor to it, but its simple, clean, and quite elegant for being an ale and not a lager, it almost has that patient cold conditioned sort of crispness about it. very fresh tasting for one, with a very very minimal hop complexion in the finish, and an ale yeast that has done its work without leaving a trace. they have it carbonated up brilliantly at their taproom in niwot, and i find myself through a pint before i really even started. the pineapple edition makes it too sweet, slows me down a bit, but it is a perfect base for the fruit. this is professional level simple beer, something i could drink in endless amounts, and from a technical standpoint, its as good as you can do. bootstrap would do well to can this one, there is a real void in the market for easy drinking and well made blonde ale types. this is near the top of the heap in that style here in colorado. i loved it, crushed it, and thirst for more!
