Batch #1071
Canned on 04/10/18
13:03:10 Bottoms Up!
Amber pour, nice two finger head of frothy, thin white foam, it recedes slowly, like a frothy low tide. Pretty heavy lace clings to the glass.
Canned in April, so the malt comes through strong. A surprising amount of hops still fight through, the only reason I’m wasting time reviewing this. Hints of sweet citrus if you really want to push your luck.
Malt again the strong flavor, but with a lingering, earthy hop presence. Some sweet orange flavors , but the time that this has sat in the can has created a heavy imbalance of flavors that has left this as a borderline drain pour.
Mouthfeel is fine, medium weight for an IPA with distinct carb and a lightly sticky finish. Crisp, clean.

Poured from a 16 oz. can. Has a copper/orange color with a 1 inch head. Smell is mild, malty. Taste is malt forward, grassy, some pine, not as bitter as I would have liked. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is decent, but a bit lacking in hoppiness.
