330ml bottle, poured into pint glass.

A- very dark brown, almost black. Thin beige head.

S- beautiful porter smells- freshly brewed black coffee, with some dark choc and roasted malts.

T- sweet chocolate and hint of licorce at the beginning, with the roasted malts and coffee flavours coming in halfway. Its a strong coffee flavour, like Turkish coffee.

M- medium body and carbonation, slick texture.

O- very solid porter, the strong coffee flavours are very welcome.

No BB.

A - black & tan, one finger very short lived head.

S - cigar box, wood, hint smoke, coffee.

T - intensely roasty to the point of almost (not quite) stout territory. Milk chocolate in there as well. Coffee and choc come thru as it warms.

M - light carbonation. Medium weight. And slightly watery at ther same time, if that is possible. True to English porter style, but maybe not to the ABV.

O - not the best of Riverside to this palate, in term sof 'showcase' as thier hoppier brews are, but still a solid and very well made brew.

Like Joecast this has been poured into my Bruery tulip.

Very dark brown colour with a small but very short lasted tan head.

Intensely roasted. Nice coffee character. No sweetness on the nose whatsoever. A touch of earthiness and even a little bit of smoke.

Quite dry on the palate. Nice coffee flavour and some interesting earth and very light citrus notes. Quite bitter which is accentuated by the dryness. I like this.

Medium body with moderately-high carbonation. Quite crisp with an accentuated dryness.

A delightful beer. Intense with none of the chocolate I expect of a porter and more coffee and roast. Heavy hopping per the American style. Very nice.

Looks absolutely brilliant in a Bruery tulip. One finger creamy tan head, almost nitro like. Quite dark, nearly black beer with visible tiny carbonation bubbles slowly making their way up from the sides of the glass.

Robust. That's a good description of the aroma. Light, drying roast. A touch of ground coffee beans. A bit of vinous malt character comes out as it warns.

Smooth, gentle dark malt and a nice earthy hop flavor. Quite light and dry, but very enjoyable.

Mouthfeel might be a touch on the light side, but on a positive note that means you can drink even more of it!

Well. Blown away. I guess my expectations weren't terribly high, but this is an excellent porter and Ill be a bit sad when this bottle is done. Won't take long either.

Another thanks goes out to Mulder1010 and im really beginning to like these guys style anyway it pours the darkest kola hue with a creamy two finger head that stays, the smell is roasted malts, milky chocolate and a touch of herbal earthy hops, the mouthfeel is just over light bodied with moderate carbonation which suits this style and the tastes are very similar to smell with hints of roasted dark malts, milky chocolate,a touch of wood and finished with herbal earthy hops to round out the sweetness first encountered and overall a very drinkable porter that could drink more than one of cheers.
