22oz bottle served in a large mug. There's a stamp on the label for dating, but I can't read it. ??216.

Pours moderately hazy light golden. Smallish head and not very carbonated. Smell is pretty hoppiness and a slight yeasty funk. Hoppiness mostly comes across as a bitter citrus zest.

Taste is moderate honey sweetness and a strong lemon and orange zest bitterness. Moderate yeast funk.

Mouthfeel is big and airy. Overall, nice beer.

Poured to a hazy, light orange color with a finger of short-lived head and some lacing. Aroma is a burst of citrus hops! Smells great. Well balanced hop bitterness - you get great flavor and the hop presence you want from an IPL. I knew I would not be disappointed with a beer made by two of the best Washington breweries. Grab this one when you see it.

Tasted 14 April 2016. Golden-orange, hazy, with one finger of dense white head, lasting and sticky. Smell is full of fruit - pineapple, juicy citrus. Taste is the same, with really powerful fruity hops coming through there. Citrus, including the sweetness and the acidic twang. Feel is excellent - light and crisp, drying out quickly with the fading of the flavors. Outstanding beer, with truly impressive fruity hop presence in both the smell and the taste.

Wonderful aroma of passionfruit and fermenting pineapple. Grapefruit taste without the excessive bitterness. This is so aromatic and brain-filling. Pears and malt, just enough sweetness.

This is just so crisp and tangy. The aroma is deliriously fruity but sharp. Highly drinkable. Another of a good streak of excellent Reuben's brews. One of the most interesting hoppy brews I've had this year. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at The Market in Anacortes.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a hazy, light to medium golden amber with a half finger white head that dissipates to patches with light lacing. Aroma of mild caramel malt, citrus hops, light tropical fruit, orange citrus, a bit dank. Flavor is light caramel with biscuit malt, citrus, dank and tropical fruit hops, orange and grapefruit, hints of stone fruit and mango; finishes with a complex, full bodied and balanced lager malt and IIPA level hop bitterness. Medium bodied with light creaminess, nice mouth feel. This is really flavorful and well hopped. Except for big caramel malt bases, I'm starting to think that maybe the lager body is a better vehicle for big hops. I've been very happy with the handful of imperial pilsners I've had, and this imperial lager is no exception. Great fruit flavors, nice malt support and flavorful hop finish, really great. I expected a lot from these two top notch breweries and this exceeded my expectations. Glad I got one of these and hope this somehow goes into production. I would buy this again in a heartbeat.

On draft at the source.

A - Golden and hazy, thin layer of white head.
S - Big hop nose, citrus, passionfruit, grapefruit, and some berry sweetness.
T - Follows the nose, hoppy, citruss, bitter finish.
M - lightly carbed, medium body.
O - Extremely tasty and easy drinking. Absolutely crushable. These two breweries knocked it out of the park with this collaboration.

Truly a IPL it pours a hazy gold with a little head and some lacing. Aroma is really pleasant and smalls like mosaic but I'm probably wrong. Sweet citrus smell overall. Taste is smooth, not much carbonation. Very prominent citrus overall with grapefruit and a bit of orange. Goes down easy with a good smooth finish. Really cool collaboration with Balebreaker and it came off great.
