Stopped at this store on a short stay in Springfield. I was looking at beer not available in Kansas. Finally steeled on a case of bombers and 2 cases of 12 oz. bottles. .When the shopping cart was full I went to the checkout.
On the floor I had no interaction with sales help. Since I appear to be a shopper that knows the product, I was not surprised at the lack of floor help.
Counter/checkout was different. Two young ladies who made sure that I didn't have to lift a finger (or bottle) to complete my journey. One even carried out one case, and transferred the bottles from the cart to the trunk of my car.
Selection was lacking in the Belgians, as well as the stout & porter categories.
Not the best store, by any means, but great for a chain..

Stopped in here on a weekend trip to Springfield and I was extremely happy with this store. The service is outstanding , the selection may not be as huge as some of their competition but they have a ton of great stuff and they are on average a dollar a bottle cheaper on their bombers and six packs than the big store across town. I picked up a lot of great beer and really enjoyed talking to the beer guys , I will be going back for sure

Went into Mac's to pick up a few bottles for trade. I found the typical Macro brews and what not but was definitely surprised at their selection. A couple of rows of bottles and mix 6 packs (must buy atleast 3 per MO law) and then some coolers with Macro and more common area Micro's available. As far as beers available, nice selection of Schlafly and Boulevard, both regulars and Seasonals as well as Mother's. What really was a surprise is the Perennial selection!? Had exactly what I needed there. Also a nice O'dell's, New Belgium, Founder's, Goose Island selection as well.

Mac's is a new store with a nice area selection, not exhaustive by any means and not going to find any lost gems on the racks, but certainly worth a stop if passing through and looking for a good selection of midwest brews.

I tried Macadoodles based on their website. They boast that they have over 600 different types of beer on hand. It didnt seem like that they had quite that much but it was definitely better than most liquor stores. They had Firestone Walker, plenty of Stone, Bear Republic, Bells and a number of others. The cashiers actually take your beer to your car for you which is new to me. My only gripe is that they sold completely out of two hearted ale, which is the reason I went there in the first place.
