On tap at Vine Street Pub for stout month. Black appearance, minimal head. Aroma is coffee beans and grounds. Flavor is a nice mix of coffee and sweetness, almost perfect viscosity. Really a delicious beer.

On tap at Vine Street for Stout Month 2012. Delivered in an 8 oz glass the beer is jet black with mahagony brown edges when held to light. Small 1/2 finger head with some retention and lacing. The nose is pure coffee, a hint of roasted barley on the back end but this is a coffee stout no doubt. Just like the nose the coffee flavors dominate the flavor. Hints of roasted barley and chocolate but it's hard to discern past the overwhelming coffee flavor. Finishes clean. Overall, a bit unbalanced on the coffee flavor compared to malts. Not bad just a bit much in my opinion.

Pours a black color. 1/3 inch head of a tan color. Great retention and great lacing. Smells of roasted malt, sweet malt, hint of coffee, and slight hops. Fits the style of an American Double / Imperial Stout. Mouth feel is smooth and clean, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of roasted malt, slight coffee, slight sweet malt, and slight hop. Overall, great appearance, good feel, and good body.

Had this one on tap the other night at the Vine Street Pub in Denver, as part of the stout month celebration. Pours a jet black color with a generous topping of light brown foam. Aromas of coffee, dark chocolate and roasted malt. Rich and full bodied, with flavors of roasted malt, dark fruits, coffee and roasted malt.

Pours a dark brown with a tan head.

Nose has lots of coffee over roasty malts, chocolate, molasses and bitter hops.

Taste is mostly coffee with some dark malts, cocoa and hops.

Medium body is a bit light in the finish. Good beer to wash down some pub food. Nothing special, mostly coffee. Drinks easy.

Ok, so this is coffee. Pure and simple. Well, not exactly coffee. Coffee beans from Boulder and the area are used in this brew, as the menu states.

8oz glass. Black pour. Very faint mahogany edges. Small head, settles to a fine film. little lacing.

Coffee aroma, black coffee not much roastiness.

Coffee taste, too. Imagine. Very faint chocolate, dry, dark. A quick hint of hops then back to coffee. Not sticky, very clean leave to it. Easy drinking. Watch out for this one, it'll bite ya.
