Re-post from my hacked "jmkratt" :(

On nitro-tap at Vine Street Pub over lunch. Served in a pint glass.

A - The beer pours a deep hazy amber with a 1.5 finger thick cream head. Head has excellent retention and leaves a ton of lacing throughout.

S - Very earthy in hop character together with a hint of lemony citrus and some malty sweetness on the back end. I think the Nitro restricts a bit of the aroma however.

T - The beer starts with a good malty sweetness with a bready/toast flavor. The hops, similar to the nose, are earthy/grassy/citrus and mildly bitter. The bitterness lingers. Again, a little more refined on Nitro.

M - I found the nitro version to be creamy and smooth. Silky in texture. I think it works quite well.

O - I really think Kind Ale is better on CO2 than Nitro, but this isn't bad, it's quite good really. I just miss the aroma an flavors of the regular version.

Pours a hazy, copper color. 1/2 inch head of an off-white color. Great retention and great lacing. Smells of hops, hint of citrus, and slight sweet malt. Fits the style of an American Pale Ale. Mouth feel is smooth and clean, with a low carbonation level. Tastes of slight hops, hint of citrus, slight sweet malt, hint of grass, and a hint of oatmeal. Overall, great appearance, good feel, and body.

Served on tap at Mountain Sun Brewpub in Boulder:

A- amber color with a thin white head

S- smells of hops (obviously) with citrus notes

T- Great hop character for a pale ale. Quite intense for an APA. Mild grapefruit taste with other citrus notes. Quite delicious

M- Pretty carbonated, but finishes with a nice bite

O- I was quite impressed by this Pale Ale from this small brewpub. Very flavorful. Reminds me a bit of Dale's.

First had: on nitro at their brewpub

You don't usually see brews like this on nitro, and often they don't quite work. I guess the jury's still out on this one, but I thought it was fine. Poured a reddish-amber with a thick creamy, eggshell head, that retained well and left some nice lacing. Lots of citrus and piney hops in the aroma. Again, lots of hops in the taste, citrus and citrus zest, subdued but sweet caramel malts; kind of bitter in the aftertaste, but not too bad. Medium bodied and quaffable.

On tap at the vine street pub. I can't believe I've never reviewed this because I've had it several times. It is dark orange and while it smells good it doesn't prepare me for the pine needle and dank hoppiness that follows in the taste. I swear this was hopper than l remember. Good stuff.
