***Note*** They only take cash! There is an ATM in the back but they only take cash. Now for the review.

First stop on the pre-GABF tour. We rolled up to Boulder on Tuesday and went straight to Mountain Sun. What a great way to start the day off.

Atmosphere: I would have to describe it as laid back chaos. And as much as an oxymoron as that is I don't know how else to describe it. Very college/hippie crowd and staff. The entire place pools their tips and you don't have a set server, but instead anybody that walks by may get you another beer, take your food order, server the order, or for that matter have cooked it. Granted, most of the floor staff was the same, but they seem to be at every table. There are no stools at the bar, just a line of people ordering drinks. Very friendly. Very laid back. But if you are a stickler or a certain serving style it could be unnerving.

Quality: Most of what we had was stellar. There were some that were good and some just ok, but nothing bad. The FY IPA was fantastic and was the most frequent order on our table of eight.

Service: Quick, friendly, knowledgeable, fast, and accurate. Not sure what else you can ask for.

Selection: They had about nine different beers on tap; however, they were offering many of the same beer served with CO2 or Nitro. Not sure why, but it was interesting. Can't stand nitro myself. Some of our crowd was a little disappointed as last year they had a line up of numerous IPA/DIPAs and they only had about three or four this year. They had many styles to choose from and they all seemed good.

Food: The food was great. Lots of it and at a great price. Very good and very big burritos. Great burgers. Possibly worth the trip for just the food. (But who the hell does that?)

Value: I remember the tab being pretty damn cheap. I know that I covered three meals and three to four beers per person for the three and with tip the total was less than $45.

Great and very unique place that I would gladly go back to again.

Love this place. Whenever I'm in Colorado we make a trip to Boulder just to go here. Great hippy food selection, possibly the worlds best fries, and a great selection of super fresh brewed in house beers, with samples flowing freely. Love this place!
