Great place to sit down, relax, and have a beer (or a few). The staff are some of the coolest, easy going people you could meet. Some a of the regulars are pretty interesting too. It's a very mellow, comfortable setting. The beer is out of this world. Fresh, complex, and flavorful. There wasnt one of there beers that i didnt like. Im not a big fan stouts most of the time, but there smoked stout blew me away. If your in the area , stop by and do yourself a favor by ordering a flight so you can try them all.

I am so glad to have these guys in our town! Justin & Chris (the brewers) are passionate about making quality beer, and have added so much to Mariposa.

I own a beer and wine bar just down the street and try to keep at least on of there brews on at all times. It makes me so happy to be able to promote such a super local business!

Cheers!

While searching for a gas station and a place to eat the day before hitting Yosemite for another day of hiking, we found this place in Mariposa. It had recently opened, but they had 5 beers on tap and they were all very good. I am writing this review a couple of months late, but it was a great place and deserves a note (and your visit). I remember the IPA being a bold hoppy beer...the American Wheat was my wife's favorite and very easy drinking, especially after a day on the trails; nice hop presence. The smoked stout was the other beer I tried; the beer was nicely balanced and the smoke added flavor and a complexity, yet it was smooth. I wonder if it was some of the experience the head brewer had at Stone that influenced this one?

The servers were still learning the beers when we were there, but they were very helpful and proud of their beer and brewery. They brew beers they like and are not afraid to try things out.

The best place for a beer anywhere close to Yosemite. Highly recommended!

This is a taproom in downtown Mariposa for the newly opened Prospectors Brewing Company. They currently have 4 beers on tap and will have 6 by some time in September. The atmosphere is casual and lively. They've got seating for 9 at their awesome looking concrete bar that has 100yr old barn wood on it to go with the whole gold country theme that's going on in this area. They have a few tables as well There's a couple TV's for the sports nuts and good ole classic rock and blue's playing on the sound system.

Food wise, they serve pretzel chips for free to go with the beers and have menu's available for a couple of the local restaurants that they'll call for you. All you've got to do is go across the street to pay for it and your good to go to eat in their taproom. They even said you can basically BYOF (Bring Your Own Food) if you like. Very cool! The beer prices are extremely reasonable. 4 bucks (Including Tax) for a pint served in an oversized glass with room for a nice head. They also use glassware specific to each beer they are offering to go that extra mile.

Their growlers are some of the best deals I've ever seen. $15 for a new 64oz full of beer and $12 for a refill. They also have a 32oz for $10 new and $6 for a refill. The beers that they are initially offering were all very well done and you can tell they really care about what goes into the glass. Check it out if you are on your way to Yosemite. You won't regret it!
