Open just over 3 months now and really coming into its own. Just listed as a Top 10 place to Eat, Drink and Be Merry by azcentral.com. Mind you, they were listed with award winning restaurants and this is an ale house.

The place lays out comfortably with an open bar/dining area along with the largest outdoor patio I've seen in Phoenix. Music is good and the two TVs don't dominate the atmosphere and are typically turned off.

The quality, I will let others speak for them. azcentral.com Top 10 and the local New Times voted them Best Brewpub and they don't even brew beer. Lets just say the place has a great vibe going and it's because they get better every time I go in.

Service is good but the servers are clearly in learning stage. Many of the servers just need a bit more knowledge with what they're serving and I believe that will come in time.

Selection is the best you will find in Arizona. With the local distributor laws and a smaller local AZ brewing culture the list isn't what you'll find in CA, OR or CO places...however the variety and choices are exceptional to say the least. IF you can't find a handful of great options on the list then maybe you have some issues. I appreciate that it's not dominated by any single style. I'm always able to find a sour or a great saison here in addition to the IPAs you find all over. The quality of the pour and the glassware was also spot on. Hey, you can even order a flight of (6) 3oz pours for $9. Don't come here expecting to find beers that aren't distributed to AZ....because they're not distributed to AZ. New local brewers on the horizon should really help change the local landscape of choices over time.

Food is really good. Remember it's an ale house ala gastropub and the food is damn good in addition to complementing the beers. They just did a beer dinner with Odell and it was awesome. I also like that they're creative with spins on things we've all know, like Tuesday Night TV Dinners and house made pop tarts for dessert. DO NOT MISS THE POT TARTS! You have been warned. I don't think anything on the menu is over $11. They offer appetizers, sandwiches, salads, burgers (including a smoked pork burger), and many other dishes like fish tacos, a burro and some crazy good flatbreads...aka unstructured pizza

Overall this is by far the best all around experience you will find in AZ. Great beers, food and the atmosphere is very relaxed. I think a few of the dogs on the patio would agree.

Angels Trumpet Ale House is a hit you cannot miss. PROST

Last stop of the day after having an early dinner at Pizzeria Bianco a few blocks away. Atmosphere was solid. Plenty of people all over the inside as well as the outside spaces. I was lucky and snagged the last seat at the bar. Service was a little hit or miss. I got my beer quickly but every time I tried to get their attention to order some food to go they were too busy talking to their friends at the bar. Selection was solid thanks to the 20+ taps from all over the world. I wasn't very hungry but I kept hearing about the pop tarts so I got an order to go and ate them when I got home. They were chocolate, vanilla cherry and they were very good. Prices on a few of the beers and a couple food items were definitely high but nearly all of the rest were priced well. Overall a really nice beer bar, I would love to come back and sit outside and sip some beers.

My dad and I went here for their one-year anniversary party this past September. It was my second time here overall.

Atmosphere: It's garage-like, with a big chalkboard beer menu and a stainless steel wall filled with taps behind the rather lengthy bar. The two times I've been here it's been really busy (I imagine there's a pretty good market that's not being met for craft beer/gastropub food in Phoenix). It's airy on one end for when the sun goes down. There are individual and communal tables and no TVs, which I love -- it encourages people to be social and to mix and mingle.

Quality: WTF is this category? It's too nebulous, but I'd say the beer quality was great, as was the food quality... more below.

Service: Both times, meh. It took awhile to get seated (hostess both times was not super communicative or friendly, and though she worked hard, she sometimes ignored the lines of folks at the front of the house). Waiters/waitresses were pretty good, but it also took too long to get a pour, so I had to revert to ordering a new beer as soon as one was brought to me to keep it going. This might be because of it being busy.

Selection: Great and varied. They happened to have Old Rasputin XV on nitro, Stone 17th Anniversary IPA, and several American and international selections I'd never seen on tap before anywhere, ever (and I've lived all over). Best selection of taps in the area, in my opinion.

Food: Great stuff. It's gastropub food and the selection isn't huge (and takes awhile to come out). I had a burger made of ground pork, topped with a fried egg, bacon, jalapeno aioli, and carmelized sugar. Badass. And the poutine is amazing too. And the pop tart for dessert.

Value: After living in the Boston area for the past few years, the prices were pretty reasonable. College kids may disagree, though. 6-8 bucks for a pour, 12 bucks for a burger...

Overall, love this place.

Finally a place in Downtown Phoenix that has an extensive list of rotating beers on tap. They also have a selection of 6 different wine drafts as well. Their beer list will consist of around 30 different types each day. The food is really good too, but unfortunately their isn't much of a vast selection. They also make homemade pop tarts that are awesome. The location is terrific, across the street from an indie movie theater. The crowd is filled with beer aficionados and the decor of the place is well designed.

We go here as often as we can as we really enjoy the place. The tap selection is probably the best in the Phoenix area and we learned yesterday that they also have a limited bottle selection of some very hard to find beers.

The atmosphere is very casual and relaxed. Every time we've been we met some other incredibly interesting patrons that enjoy good beer as much as we do.

The food menu isn't huge, but the quality of everything we've tried has been outstanding.

If you're a hop head, have a taste for Belgians or just enjoy a smooth German lager, this place has something for you.

This is quite a nice place to visit. It has a causal atmosphere with a nice overall presence. From the outside it is pretty plain, but inside is nice. The decor is basic, but it suits it well and it is all I would desire in a Gastropub. The patio is great, with a little view of downtown Phoenix. The beer selection is quite good. They label everything clearly, with a break down of what type of beer, ABV, name and brewer. They have a great mixture of each style. They will have beers that are harder to find, local brews and good staples. You can find their beer selection on Facebook or you can go to Taphunter. I thought it would be on their web page, but I couldn't find it. The service was excellent, being attentive, having good suggestions and friendly. The food is quite good, I only shared appetizers with my friends, but they were scrumptious and a good size.

Overall, if you are coming through Phoenix or live here I would suggest dropping by here and you won't be disappointed.
