After a weekend at the Big Beers, Belgians & Barleywines in Vail coming out of the mountains, still wanting to keep the beery weekend alive, this place seemed to be the perfect stop. British-style ales with British food (aka, no American pub grub... which we were burned out on)... it couldn't have sounded more perfect.

Easy to find... look for the Union Jack flag outside and the red phone booth. There was plenty of parking around the building.

On a snowy, cold Sunday afternoon we stopped in around 2pm. It wasn't busy but it wasn't dead either, which I took as a good sign of quality and local support. I loved the vibe, British signage, not cheeky or "chain feeling" ... it felt like a pub, brick outside, two stories... small bar with more Single Malt Scotches then you can handle. As for the beer, two beers on cask, another on nitro plus a handful more on tap (plus Strongbow); it was a solid selection. I opted for the IPA on cask and bangers & mash for lunch. My fiancée had a Strongbow (still burned out on beer from the weekend) and a pork roast for lunch. The food was great. I loved it. I forgot how much I love bangers and mash. The pork roast was money too!

As for my beer, it was a fruity, mildly hoppy IPA... it was a British IPA all the way. I've had better and I have had worse. It got the job done but I wasn't really in the mood for another beer.

Our waitress was attentive. A lady next to us asked some questions about the beer and she struggled to answer them. However, she was smart enough to give her samplers. The bartender checked on us a few times as well and he was very nice. I have no issues with the service.

The next time I am in Denver this place will not be on my shortlist to visit... unless, of course, I am really in the mood for a British ale and some bangers & mash. All in all, it is a good "themed" brewpub and worth checking out if you like British-style ales (and food).

This is definitely not a beer geek place, but nonetheless a very fun place to check out! It has an old English feels to it, even though it's located in the Golden Triangle of Denver. The bar is an especially friendly sitting area, but the "hidden" seats throughout are quite fun as well.

The beer selection is nothing amazing, but they brew some darn tasty after-work beers. I wouldn't drag a beer nerd here as my first choice, but if that chap enjoyed a shot with his brew...then this would be the first place to go. If I recall correctly, Pints Pub has the largest selection of scotch this side of the Atlantic...period.

Wait staff/bartender(s) were very friendly and knowledgeable about everything available for consumption.

I've never had a full-blown meal here, but the food looks delish. And the apps are quite tasty as well.

As a whisky geek I was told to come here for their fantastic selection of Single Malts. Turns out they brew their own beer and serve it on Cask. Great UK style beers, well done. While it's not my favorite style, they do an excellent job. Food was better than OK, but the cozy atmosphere by the bar, lack of big screens and amazing whisky selection more than made up for it. I went here twice in one week while on business. First night by my self on a Monday night, very slow night but I was treated well by the staff. It looks like they do have growlers to go as of Nov. 2011.

Located on 13th in Denver. Park across the street for free otherwise you pay anywhere else. Outside and in this place is decorated with brick, stone, dark woods, a couple of red phone booths - typical British style pub decorations. The London Times is at the front door to read. Bar to the right, restaurant seating to the left and up the stairs at the front. Bathrooms are actually upstairs- kind of inconvenient. This place has typical UK beer offerings, they brew a typical selection, and offer a couple of cask coniditioned beers. You can see through a plexiglass window in the floor of the bar to the storage cellar where beer kegs and casks are resting. Food here was pretty good. Good selection. Great scotch selection and very descriptive scotch menu. The service was average - nobody here seemed too much interested in going above what was expected of them. For a Friday night, not too busy. Maybe that's why. The servers seemed a bit like they would rather be somewhere else. Overall a good stop. I'd try more of their beer selection and food next time.

I hadn't been to Pints in years. The last time was in the mid 90s, when they were known for their huge single malt selection (which they still have) and hadn't started brewing.

The place is smaller than I remembered. Taking a left at the front door leads to a modest seating area for diners. A quick right turn at the door takes you into a small bar area. The bar has 10 or so seats, plus a handful of tables. The visual highlight is the 100+ bottles of scotch hanging upside down over the bartender's head. Lots of wood and dark painted walls covered with placards for their beers makes up the rest of the decor. The cozy feel is very English Pub and doesn't have the forced corporate feel that you get at big chains. A lone small TV tucked away at the end of the bar was showing baseball. A sports bar this isn't, thank goodness.

I can't comment on the food, as I didn't have any. But the Brown Ale I had on cask was very nice. Also, the bartender was quite cool and knew his beer and scotch. Prices were quite reasonable. If I'd had more time, I would have sampled more beers.

Pints is close to home for me. I'm glad I finally made it back in.

This is a nice British style brewpub. It is fairly small, and that gives this place a nice worn in pub feel. A small patio outside, and a small room downstairs. The bar holds about seven people. There is also an area upstairs. Homey and cozy. There is nothing wrong with the service. They seem to know a lot more about the whiskey (which they have over 250 bottles of) than they do the beer though.

They have a good selection of beers. Two on cask. An IPA and a brown ale. A Scottish Ale, ESB, and another brown on tap, and a stout. They also make a couple of German and American beers as well. The beer is nothing outstanding, but still very enjoyable. I did not eat, but everything seemed rather standard.

Overall, a nice place to relax and have a few pints. It is just simple, and there is nothing wrong with that. A nice meld of a British brewpub and a whiskey bar. Check it out.

Transcribed from notes taken on Sa, 01 Aug 2009.

How, if they have been here since 1993, have I never been in this place in all of my visits to Denver?!? I loved it from the minute that I stepped in the door.

Located at the corner of 13th Avenue and Cherokee, it looked like a modified castle in the shadow of CJ and Bail Bond Strip Row. I was absolutely awestruck by its two-story layout and spent my time just wandering through, a pint of cask- conditioned ale in hand, sadly not taking enough notes. I was met by some friends shortly thereafter and we left before I could complete my mission. Rest assured that it will be my first stop on my next visit.

I'm English, typically the first Brewpub i go to on my first visit to Denver is an English theme pub! It wasn't intentional, i normally avoid theme bars like the plague (or swine flu) but Pints was the nearest to our hotel and first on my planned route around Denver.

The English theme was a bit Kitsch and came across as rather twee, i don't know whose idea of an english pub it was based on but living in England it seems like an Americans idea of what an English village pub would be like, complete with Red Phone box.

The beer was good know and on a quiet Saturday lunchtime the bar tender had plenty of time to chat and was friendly and informative. The beer was good and i was impressed by the selection of 250+ Whisky's. I had a pint of Airedale Pale Ale and a Lancer IPA. We didn't eat here but the food passing by looked appetising. A good start to the day.
