On tap at Ritual Brewing Company in Redlands, CA.

Pours a hazy yellow with a foamy white head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Foamy rings of lace line the glass on the drink down. Smell is of grain, dried citrus peel, yeast, spice, and tea aromas. Taste is much the same with dried citrus peel, tea, and spice flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of spice bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp and dry mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer that is tasty, light, and easy to drink.

Serving type: on tap.

Brewery describes this as a Belgian Single. Appearance is nice in the 0.4 litre glass with the golden color and modest suds. Light beery aroma. Light bodied with a watery but refreshing quality.

This has a long, deep, toasty malt flavor that is quite appealing. The Belgian yeastiness is not overly powerful, and adds a pleasant bitter tang and some interesting murky malt. There is some slight sweetness and hints of chestnut, with some cedar woodiness and a fruity tang. Very modest bitterness. They list this at 29 IBUs.

Overall this is a highly drinkable brew that seems simple at first sip but grows in complexity. They should put this in cans to throw in the backpack. On tap at Blind Lady Ale House in San Diego.
