On tap at St. Andrews Brewing Co.
Pleasing aroma and appearance.
Fine flavor avoids my two most frequent gripes about barleywines: this one is neither too sweet nor too boozy.
O: worth seeking out.

Disclaimer: Had this one down on the cellar for about a year and a half.
L: Medium-dark brown with a minimal head that fades quickly and leaves only a few spots of lacing. S: Dates, molasses, caramel, toffee; a bit oxidized metallic-like (zinc?) and boozy (sherry). T: Like boozy raisins. A bit of molasses, but not overly sweet. A sipper, though. F: Like an English BW should be: sticky. Low-moderate carbonation with a bit of warmth from the alcohol, but well-balanced.
Overall: A respectable English BW to come out of Germany. Respect.

A: Bronze, hazy, no head or lacing.
S: Booze, molasses.
T: Cranberry, malt, molasses, treacle, very boozy.
M: Syrupy texture, no carbonation, heavy body.
O: A sipper, the alcohol had a bit too much to say, OK to try once, but I won’t be revisiting.

Had this one a few times. Pleasent beer with a pleasent taste. Little hint of booziness to it. Nicely sweet without being to overpowering. Reminds me of dark fruits and taffy. Smoth and creamy. Very drinkable.

I expected more from this beer. Lacks power, smell, taste, is not convincing in the mouth.
