Served in straight pint glass. Poured a lightly hazy golden amber color with about a half-inch of off-white head that had OK retention and lacing.

The aroma was fairly sweet, especially for an IPA, with some grain undertones and fairly gentle hops. Taste-wise the beer was a fairly typical IPA, some bitter citrus hops, a bit of grapefruit and some basic grain flavors. I didn't pick up any of the Huckleberries used in the brewing of this beer, and my friend, who also had a pint, only picked up faint traces of the berry.

The body was the average medium of the style. Drinkability was OK, it wasn't a palate wrecker, and it wasn't bland either. Overall, an average take on the American IPA style. Worth a shot if you see it. (732 characters)
