Pours two fingers of head on a cloudy dark red colored body.
The aroma is rich malt, a little lemon, caramel and flowers.
The taste is mild lemon bitterness at first that is quickly balanced out by the big malt bill. Kind of barnyardish overall.
The texture is crisp with moderate carbonation.
It's a good, bold red ale.

Poured from a 650ml bottle. Pours a brownish amber with a beige head. The nose offers a lot of sweet honey and caramel malt notes with just a hint of citrusy hops in the background. The taste is earthy, chocolatey and roasty with a dry and bitter finish. It's medium bodied and hearty.

Alameda Brewing 'Rose City Red' Ale @ 6.4% , served from a 650 ml bottle purchased for $7

A-pour is a clear pale amber from the bottle to a dark amber in the glass with a good size off white head that is leaving a spotty lace along the stein

S-big bold malt's , piney hops

T-not smooth , kinda bitter from start to finish

MF-good carbonation , medium bodied

Ov-ok beer , just a tad to bitter for me

Thanks to GRG1313 for sharing this one at his tasting.

Pours a hazy copper with a foamy bone head that settles to a small cap on top of the beer. Foamy swaths of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, caramel, and citrus zest aromas. Taste is much the same with citrus zest flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with some solid aromas and flavors.

weird, beer was bottled almost 11 months ago yet almost no reviews. This is a very well preserved beer for the age as it shows a strong malt backbone and a rounded flavour. Yes the hops have moved to background but still a very nice beer as red/amber beers often work as malt showcases. Loved to have tasted it fresh but still a nice beer/
