A: Poured from the half-growler into a Duvel tulip. Body is somewhat hazy golden-orange with a 1-finger densely-bubbled slightly off-white head on top. Nice ring of lace up top is followed by splotchy lacing on the way down the glass.
S: Juicy hops - citrusy grapefruit, tangerine, grapefruit peel and apricot . Not as potent as expected, but it's a pleasant nose for hopheads.
T: Follows the nose: juicy, citrusy hops dominate, along with some tropical fruit. Think grapefruit pith, a touch of pineapple and a touch of apricot. Bite of pine needles and earthy spice at the finish. Slight amount of heat from the alcohol is felt at the back of the palate - and produces warmth down the gulley and in the belly.
M: Medium to full in body. Modestly slick or oily in feel. Carbonation is active and a bit sharp.
O: Very good stuff.

Many thanks to twizzard for this howler.
A - Pours a dark copper amber color with slight head, mild carbonation. Sticky on the sides of the glass.
S - Papaya, pineapple, mango, oranges, and grapefruit and light pine - definitely hop forward.
T - A ton of pine resin and tropical fruit: oranges, papaya, pineapple, red grapefruit, peppery spicy tropical rinds. Up front is a slight bit of sweet malt before the hops crash in over the top and carry everything to the proverbial lingering bitter end. Has a long, lingering peppery rind finish, after awhile the malt/hop combo creates a borderline candy sweetness.
M - Medium body, gentle carbonation with a smooth texture and coats the mouth to the point where it feels like cotton.
O - All about the hops in this one. As the beer warms, a little more malt character and alcohol starts to surface, better totally cold and will definitely trash your palate!
