Shoreline is a really good place to go. It's very similar to Big Z's except a bit smaller but the selection is pretty much the same. They have everything from Founders to allagash to alesmith. They also have a growler station which has about 6-10 beers on tap usually featuring local breweries. Overall there is usually at least one memebr on staff that is knowledgable and the prices are fair for long island. I frequently visit this place for most people that visit usually are purchasing BMC so the "harder to find" craft beers usually stay on the shelf for a long period of time (which can be good or bad) than at other craft beer distributors.

He consistently gets Belgian beers nobody on Long Island has. There are maybe 900 of them, so obviously most aren't that great, but he consistently gets winners. I waited over 3 years hoping to try Gouden Carolus Tripel and last time I was there, he had it and it was one of the best I've ever had. I can't say that I know much about non-Belgian beers as they really hold no appeal for me. He's a fair guy too, took back something I bought that was dark and let me exchange it, not everyone will.

Vibe: inside is crowded, but you have two full aisles to browse the good stuff in comfort - one side has the domestics, the other has the imports. Only catch to the place: located in a terrible area driving-wise: windy narrow roads with lots of traffic, terrible signage (you would never know its there if you weren't looking for it) - so unless you're a local or on foot, an inconvenient location.
Service: the guys on the floor are basically nice, reasonable-enough fellows who'll talk beer with you; the cashier for at least the few years I've gone there (sporadically) is either the owner or his daughter. The owner is a gruff, disinterested type - unfriendly but not rude. His daughter, on the other hand, seemingly hates her job, as she is unfriendly and unpleasant.
Selection: real good - on par with Superstar in Huntington - lots to look at, found some real gems on those shelves - pumped up my score in this area recently, as they have stuff I don't see at other stores.
Prices: same as the rest of the places

Definitely a good spot to check out on Long Island - this is a bit of a trek for me but still worth going to. They have a good selection of craft beers from many different brewers, and the nicest thing is that they tend to have many different varieties per brewer, including some that I don't see in other LI bottle shops. Everyone there seems very helpful, and the shelves are neatly arranged. The only caveat is that the bottles almost all seem very dusty, which makes me a little nervous sometimes. Because of that, I'll sometimes try other shops first but if I can't find something elsewhere I know there's a good shot that they'll have it.
