2 fingers of dark cocoa craggy head, almost pitch black with some light bending around the corners, some carbonation noticed at the bottom of the glass dissapearing into the great dark vastness, lacing is good as it coats in fine sheets, the head fades but does not dissapear
like a talk show hosted by magic johnson, pat sajack or chevy chase... good looking brew.
dark dry cocoa powder, almost smokey, chocolate milk, almost coffee notes but mostly chocolate, the notes it hits are strong even if it is not the most complex thing you can imagine
at first velvety and then a prickly bite from the carbonation, moderately thick in the mouth, nice dark roasty chocolate flavor, it has sweetness but the hops give it the right bitter kick to balance it out, the roast flavor really settles in to the corners of the mouth, a nice offering, hits some good spots, not a stunner but nothing bad to report
very good, I would like to try it on tap.

On smell alone, I thought this was a nut brown. Once I tasted it, though, the smokey flavor of the malt came through. It was not what I'd call "robust", but it had just enough body without being too heavy, and was a perfect complement to our Easter dinner. This is a step up from what I've had from Bolero Snort to date, and this kind of effort bodes well for their future.
