Bitter and hoppy! The flavor of this wonderful IPA is almost to the bitterness of a double IPA. The aroma is awesome, hoppy hoppy hoppy. I can't believe the alcohol isn't above 8 percent. This is an exceptional IPA with lots of wonderful hoppy bitterness. One of the better IPAs I have had in awhile, little did I know this brewery is only a hour away. I will drink this beer any day!

Pretty good all around IPA nice brass color. Went well with the ground beef chorizo burger and curry chips. Held it's own and didn't over power the meal

I had this on tap at Prime Bar in Wesley Chapel, FL. I saw that this was local and an IPA so I had to give it a shot. A decent beer, but nowhere near a 5.

Pours the typical caramel malt color with a nice, stiff white head on top. Aroma is slightly hoppy with a large malt backbone. A bit of rancidity is in the nose, almost like a green apple aroma. The green apple isn't as prevalent in the flavor, but there is still something slightly off. Grapefruit hops with a large pine dose in the flavor. Mouthfeel is medium bodied and well balanced.

I had one of these and then followed this one up immediately with a Jai Alai and the differences are night and day. A decent beer from a local brewer. If Jai Alai is on draft, I would choose JA every time.

Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a pretty orange/light brown color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of citrus hops. Taste is hoppy, pine, some citrus, mild bitterness, easy drinking. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a solid beer.

Not up to the standard you'd expect from a local

Lots of Chinook hops. Pine, spice, and maybe even a unique bakers cocoa element. Not bad. Beer needs consistency from what I'm reading from others reviews.

Looks and smells better than it tastes

Offered as a throw in to a sampler at a newly opened tasting room that was only featuring three of their own, this turned out to be the best of the four. An orange appearance in the glass with a solid foamy head and excellent lacing. A well balanced IPA with just enough hops, fruit, malt, and a good bitter finish. A solid offering.

Poured from an undated 12 oz. can: murky amber with a foamy sustained off-white head. Very nice citrus aroma was evident upon opening the can.
The flavor was a little subdued with a taste of marmalade and some tropical bittersweet fruit. No doubt, the addition of honey softened the bitterness. Also, I don't know how old the ale is considering no freshness dating. According to the can, this IPA has an 81 IBU; not with this can. Still, I really enjoyed and would purchase it again.

One of the best American IPA's I've had. The hops tantalize from the beginning to end with a touch of honey and spice and the crisp, clean finish promotes drink after drink on this 6.9% apv. You're sure to enjoy pint after pint of this Tampa treasure.

Not bad. Purchasedo at reduced price at a music festival, would do so again under similar conditions.

Really good new IPA from Big Storm in Odessa FL. Addition of honey takes a bit of the edge off the hop bitterness. Very nice, happy to try it.

I think their Oats in Hose is their best, but this is a not-too-distant second and more available.

Pours a darker golden color with white head. Citrus, dank citrus, a little pine, and some grass on the nose; follows onto the palate. Pretty solid.

I'm a big fan of Big Storm's Wavemaker Amber, so let's see how their IPA does.

No freshness dating on the can, which is too bad considering IPAs need to be enjoyed fresh.

Pours a hazy amber with a big foamy head.

Aroma of cardboard and hops. Perhaps this can isn't that fresh?

Well the flavor sure makes up for the so-so aroma. Bitter, almost metallic (in a good way) hop flavors mix with a big amount of malt sweetness. This is no dry IPA. Noticeable alcohol too.

Big, chewy body. Very nice.

One of Florida's best IPAs. I can't wait to try it again.

Poured into a pint at the brass tap. Pours a stellar tangerine that's bright orange when backlight. Slight haze but a beautiful beer. Head is just off white and leaves thick sheets of micro bubble lace on the glass. A truly stellar looking beer.aroma is orange and grapefruit citrus and biscuit bread sweetness. Aroma isn't the most powerful ever but its made of the right stuff. The taste is more powerful than the nose for sure , dominated by sweet tangerine and orange with notes of ruby red grapefruit. There is malt sweetness but its in the form of caramel and not bread like the nose finish is clean and bitter and hangs on the tongue after the swallow. This only encourages further sipping. Carbonation is dead on mouth feel is vibrant and full but not viscous. This is an amazing IPA. Big storm will be on my seeking radar for sure.

Pours cloudy amber with off white creamy head, smells of spicy piney hops and sweet maltiness, tastes of spicy hops gradually cooled by the malts, smooth creamy mouthfeel with a lasting finish.
