An institution. Any time I’m traveling north I always make my route go through this small town to this unassuming gem in the Vermont countryside. Incredible, handmade food, with an equally incredible craft beer selection. The fried chicken sandwich and fries as well as the burgers are obviously beyond delicious. Always a good vibe and the staff are awesome!

Finally! After I've heard more than enough from plenty of people, I was heading back to my part of Vermont and decided to "detour" myself to here. Me, I was more than impressed - the smells of the place were absolutely spectacular - a mix of burgers, fries, and fried chicken. Despite them serving me a hefeweizen in a tulip, I wasn't really bothered by anything else. A fair amount of cool people I met - great conversations all around. If only I didn't eat at Big Fatty's in White River Junction earlier in the day, I would've eaten here because it smelled absolutely wonderful. Selection had a good amount of Vermont breweries. If I lived closer, good chance I'd be here way more often and hopefully work on them to get weizen styled beers to be poured into correct glassware - quality got pushed down because of this.

Vibes are super mellow. Old train car/station converted into an excellent buger bar. Service is always excellent. Choices on beer are superb. Price is the only thing that keep this from fives across the board. A must stop if you are in the upper valley!

Kind of out-of-the-way place, converted train station. Fairly small inside, bar seats maybe 10 a few tables inside and a covered porch area, that is probably quite nice in warmer weather. Stellar tap list of mostly local beers. Food was ok, limited selection and on the pricey side.

Don't believe the hype. The food is very average. The taplist is ordinary. The service is poor. Avoid this place and get better food and beer further north.

I went out of my way to go to this place during an otherwise typical VT trip, as there was a Lawson's tap (and bottle) takeover going on. Good enough reason. As my GPS told me I was getting nearer and nearer to the place, my doubts rose. The location is really bizarre...you drive through an otherwise unassuming town/village/whatever it is, and then take a wacky turn over a railroad track, to find the building. Looked like a converted old train station. I don't even think there was a visible sign outside. Inside was pretty nice, pretty basic. Good small bar and some tables. I got to the event about a half hour before it started and was lucky enough to snag the last bar seat.

Obviously the beer selection was top-notch, with every tap being dedicated to a different Lawson's beer, including one-offs, AND Fayston Stout variants and Maple Tripple being poured from bottles. No joke when it comes to beer here.

Service was fine. The bartenders were friendly and seemed to know their stuff. Ordering food involved getting a beeper that tells you when it's ready, and then going to pick it up yourself at a counter. I guess this is because of the serve-yourself fix-in area. As far as the food goes, I was actually pretty disappointed. Obviously, the main focus here is burgers, and while they had a lot of good options, I just didn't think mine was very good. I don't remember what kind of burger I got (knowing my m.o., it might've just been a bleu cheese burger or something), but it was pretty small, and overall basic and kind of bland. It might just be me, but I expected a little better from a place specifically called "Worthy Burger."

Overall, I had a good time here, and I would definitely go back again. It's nowhere near where I usually make my rounds in VT, as it's like 50 miles south of Waterbury. But it is basically right off 89, so it's a totally conceivable stop on the way home or the way up north. I'd probably opt to get food elsewhere though.

Great location in Central Vermont, some what hard to find and rather small inside. However it is a very popular spot among locals and visitors. Great burgers (limited menu). Great beer selection. Here you can find some of those hard to find Vermont Craft beers; like Lawson's and Hill's Farmstead; plus many of the other 30 plus Vermont brewers. In the area? Yes! stop here...

Found via the usual beer websites and was the only decent place that was coming up. Not exactly on the beaten path but it should be.

VERY nice selection on the 15 taps covering a full range of craft offerings from the northeast.

Menu as you can guess was burger based cooked on wood fired grill. My only complaint was that the burger deserved a better bun,

Very comfortable atmosphere with the craft beer well respected and well treated

Great beer selection, love the fact that they'll do half pours too. Beer prices were very reasonable.

Bar staff was friendly, when you could get their attention long enough to order something.

If you want to be self-service and cash only and a place that focuses on burgers they need to focus on their consistency. Our burgers were not cooked anywhere near the way we wanted (medium rare) and the table next to us sent theirs back because they were not cooked enough.
