A - Pours a motor oil black with a very thin off white head.

S - Aroma is bourbon and maple syrup.

T - The flavor leans very heavily on the bourbon. Once the bourbon fades there is some vanilla, chocolate, and a light maple sweetness. Finishes hot with lingering alcohol heat.

M - Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Crisp mouthfeel with a dry finish.

O - This is very bourbon forward with the maple playing second fiddle. Solid barrel aged porter.

Recieved in a trade in December of 2015 drank march of 2016, not sure when brewed. Pours very nicely into a snifter, but with very little head. The nose has a definite bourbon smell that is not overpowering, allowing some sweetness to come through in mapleness. The mouth feel is a little thin for me, but being a porter, it is expected. The taste starts out sweet, and goes through a few changes finishing wita tingle of the tounge in booze. Over all i very much enjoyed this beer. Only real negative is a very thin mouthfeel. *Note my bottle says 10.8% as opposed to the 11.8%, however it drinks big.
