Have had this beer many times at different beer works, and am now reveiwing from a recently bought 6 pack.

Pours a orangy copper body with a chunky white head that only hangs around for about a minute or so.

A fruity aroma with a hint of hops. Overall smell appears to be not to strong, very light.

Taste's of grapefruit, hops, roasted malt, and a little touch of lemon. Could be a little more bitter IMO.

Very drinkable. Only 5.8% alc (bottled). Mouthfeel isnt anything special but very nicely carbonated. Could drink a whole mess of these!

Presentation: On tap.

Appearance: Clear amber with a sticky ring of lace.

Smell: A blend of caramel and faint fruity esters, evident hop also in the nose.

Taste: Crisp and clean with an assertive hop bitterness, nice rounded maltiness ... a little fruity, a little caramel and a bit more malt. This brew finishes very well with a drying grain and hint of lemon.

Notes: More than yer standard American Pale Ale, a classic among the locals ... very good drinking.

Clear copper in color with a short-lived and non-lacing layer of whitish head. Hard to discern the smell, but there's a well-balanced mix of citrus hops and some sweetness. Flavor seemed off...unbalanced and a touch of sourness near the end. Finished with a grainy/husk-like aftertaste. I much preferred the cask version from the Canal street location.

Description on menu: Cask conditioned Fenway Pale Ale with Liberty Hops.

I guess since it went out of the way to mention the additional hops the regular Fenway PA didn't have the Liberties.

Served in a pint glass with a small white head that didn't hang around and a really nice reddish orange color. A little bit of haze to the beer. Smelled of hops, hops, and more hops. Lots of pine and floral to the hop aroma. Taste was a little skewed, not really very balanced, did pick up a bit of whiskey taste from the wood. Mouthfeel was heavy, very little carbonation.

Pours a clear reddish copper with a nice tan head that leaves good lacing. The smell is pungent with sweet malt and floral hints. The taste is very malty for a pale ale and it works well. The m/f is medium, alittle heavy for p/a, and the flavors mix well. This is a damn good beer for the summer and it shouldn't be overlooked.

On tap at the Fenway Beer Works. Served in a pint glass.

Fenway Pale pours a copper colored body with a very slim white head.

Aroma has notes of citrus hops with a sweet malt background.

Citrus hops up front, specifically notes of grapefruit. Bready malt background cuts slightly through the bitterness making for a pretty balanced brew.

Medium carbonation and body.

Solid beer from Boston Beer Works. I would be open to having this one again when I end up back there.

pours really nice, amber with lots of fizz and 1 inch head. Lots of retention and lacing.

aroma of nut and pale malts.
a bit nutty for a pale ale in my taste.

has good hop characteristic through out however is more malty than hoppy.

not a bad brew i guess especially if you're a sox fan

lets go mets!

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle. Sampled on June 6, 2014.

Something must have changed since the Bros reviewed this one in 1999 and gave it a "Very Good" rating.

I get a cloudy orange pour with a fizzy head that dissolves fast.

Aroma is buttery but beyond that I pull in some yeast, pale malts, and a mild hop note. Smells more like a mash rather than a final product.

The body is light to medium so that's OK.

The taste is bland concoction of pale malts with a fairly forward hop note but it still tastes a bit off.

amber color with a good sized head of about two inches that falls down quickly but leaves a ton of lacing down the sides of the glass.

aroma is light grains, hints of a small citric hop profile, touches of bready grains and a smooth biscuit like touch. Clean and very crisp taste, starts with a light touch of hops and follows through with nice bready malt character that comes through cleanly on the palate and offers a decent amount of balance. Nice and light, well carbonated body makes it a breeze to drink and seriously one of the most well rounded pales in terms of solid drinkability.

Beautiful pour - thick creamy white head atop a hazy golden brew. Aroma is malty, with a hint of flowery hops in the back. Flavor starts sweet, malty, small fruitiness, follows with a good mild hop ending which brings it all together. Very well balanced offering.

The beer as poured, is a translucent deep ruby red with a prominent head and oodles of fine lace to coat the glass. Sweet caramel, malt make up the pleasant nose with the start sweet and the top skinny. Finish has a nice hop spicy bite, moderately carbonated, dry long lasting aftertaste and a decent beer all around.
