The next release in our small batch, high gravity OT Series is a completely new formulation Black O Lantern – Imperial Pumpkin Stout. This deep, dark, and intensely rich imperial pumpkin stout has flavors of cinnamon, clove, and nutmeg that complement the chocolate and roast character. At 8.5% ABV, this beer finishes surprisingly and dangerously smooth!

A- Big old imperial stout style head. black as hell. Moderate legs and lacing. Looks the style of a Russian Imperial Stout.
S- Like walking into a country store. Big potpourri scent. Nutmeg and cinnamon for sure. Molasses sweetness and light coffee. Even more faint chocolate. Alcohol is present, but not too pungent in the nose.
T- Same as the scent. Potpourri and pumpkin spices. Pumpkin gourd flavor are there. It also has the chocolate and roasted malty coffee flavor. Molasses and a hoppy type spice are present. It yeast is earthy. It's slightly bitter from the hops and the grains, but it doesn't cut your head off in the bitterness. It rounds out the alcohol spice. The finish is sugary and bitter and ends with some of the spices. Just like a good Imperial Stout in flavor.
M- It's a medium to full bodied beer, on the fuller side. It's got a good dark roast coffee/ earthy, hop oiliness. It is pretty crisp.
Overall, this is a great imperial stout. If you like spiced beers, get this one. Even if you don't know you like spiced beers and like stouts and heavier beers (or just want to expand your beer horizons), get it! It's an awesome fall seasonal beer! A+ brew!

Impressive, lumpy starting head. Plenty of beige, chunky lace on the glass. The color is near black. No light shines through.
Lots of spices to this beer--plenty of pumpkin pie touches, such as cinnamon and surprisingly, anise. Nearly no stout to the nose.
Not very "burnt", instead it's all the aforementioned spices. Interesting and unusual, but there is no "stout" flavor to this beer. Think Pumpkin Pie Brown Ale. Good body and appropriate carbonation.
