The Bev. Mill as its called by us folks who live in Unit Y, is an exceptional place to buy craft beer. Great selection of maine micros and impressive corked and caged varieties. Westmalle triple, Allagash Triple, Unibro products, Sam Smith, Ommegan and Hennepin and always something new coming in the door. Growlers from downeast. An oasis for beer lovers, with lots of turn over in product. They will gladly order you anything and recently they have gotten the Dogfish head 60 and 90 minute IPA added to their collection. Many English Beers. I always seem to get that luscious Andrews English Ale from Lincolnville, Maine. What a nice beer that is. NIce to have such a place way out here in the sticks...

Up on Rt.139 in Unity, ME, you will find the Beverage Mill. For the most part, the place is like any small-town Maine General Store/Redemption Center. What is unusual is the fine selection of microbrews they stock. Plenty of selections from Maine breweries as well as other from New England and beyond, most notably Magic Hat and Sierra Nevada. Also Samuel Smith's, Ommegang and Unibroue products available. I was a bit disturbed that the bottle conditioned Ommegang and Unibroue products were kept in a very cold cooler but hey that's just my personal opinion. Looks like a good turnover in the stock, I couldn't find anything that was out of date. Service is polite and friendly. Selection is very good for a small store with limited shelf space. Drop by and grab a cold six-pack on your way home from the Common Ground Fair!

okay, if you're ever in maine and traveling up rt 220 from china (yep, china) to newport and beyond or just going to unity for the common grounds fair stop by the beverage mill. honestly it is a redemption center. but they sell beer as well! and as they make most of their money off returnables the prices are pretty good. they have a good selection of maine brews as well as many other micros from new england and beyond. all beers, save a few specials or old beers, are in a relatively dark cooler and stay pretty healthy. service is not so good but if you ask they'll tell you what they like! ;-)
