Bought at Sterk delicatessen on Declerqstraat Amsterdam. Pooured into a D'achouffe Tulip.
Body is murky orange brown with a substantial white head with coarse bubbles that lingers around for quite some time.
Smells of yeast and slightly hops.
Taste is dominantly bitter with a strong sense of the three very well balanced hops (Saaz, Styrian Gold and Target according to label).
Medium to low carbonation and consequently low burpiness factor.
The beer is really good. It's dominant feature is clearly its focus on the three hops that are balanced to perfection. Due to the lack of sweet or sour there is only the bitterness of the hops which will be too strong for some while for others it will be perfectly right. It would be interesting how this one works as a session beer for which it would qualify with its 6% abv. Would recommend this anytime if you are up for something bitter.
