BEER INFO

Brewed by:
Boundary Road Brewery
New Zealand (Aotearoa) | website

Style: English Pale Ale

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 4.20%

Availability: Year-round

Notes / Commercial Description:
Flying Fortress Ale symbolises everything great about beer: a big taste, a graceful aroma and two massive engines on each wing. The malts are Pale Ale combined with chocolate and caramel variants while the hops are NZ Motueka and Pacific Jade. Ardmore Airport, just 5km from the brewery, was originally built for these beautiful behemoths. Adjust your helmet and strap yourself in.

On tap

A: served adark amber color with a small head that fades to no real lacing.

S: Aroma of malt sweetness, bit of citrus and bit of spice.

T: Taste of some malt sweetness witha bit of citrus and some grain. Mild bitterness and a clean finish.

F: Fairly medium body, smooth but fairly boring.

O: Almost an enjoyable beer just needs a bit of character.
