Poured into a pilsner glass,Poured crystal clear copper color with golden highlight's. Beautiful fluffy white top. Alot of bubbling action going on in my glass. Lacing holds it's own.
Smell is metallic, some sweet caramel notes come to pick it up with a solid earthy aroma.
Taste is mostly dominant with sweet caramel malts, toasty and bready right in the middle. Nice spicey hop linger that slight touches down to let you know it's there.
Mouth is light bodied, perfect balance not to thick not to watery. Slightly slick in the mouth with alot of carbonation tingling and stinging the tongue.
Drink is good. I am not too familiar with the Maibock style but this is a winner of a lager in my book. Nicely done.
