A - Hazy light brown brew with a caramel hue. Topped with a nice little cap of ivory foam. Lacing is decent, and the head is long lasting. Looks tasty.
S - Caramel, nougat filing, and a slight whiff of pecans, which I imagine is pronounced PEE-can in the deep south. Smells like a Charleston Chew candy and pecan pie filling.
T - There is a definite pecan nuttiness here, along with caramel and maple syrup. I honestly don't know if I would have picked up on the actual pecan flavors... I might have just attributed that flavor to the general profile of nut-brown style beers (although this one ain't all that brown).
M - Light bodied with a creamy carbonation that helps fill it out a little. Finishes sweet and nutty with a hint of hops hidden in the flavor, but coming out at the end.
D - Pretty good stuff. Nothing to write home about, but its a nice easygoing brew that's a little too much on the sweet side to really have session potential. Worth a try for the novelty of a pecan infused brew, and as a good brew from the craft brew-deficient southern states.
