I was given this 12-ounce bottle from a former coworker of mine when I purchased a case of Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale. I poured it into a pint glass.
Appearance: The body poured a rich red color, but with significant orange and brown highlights. The head was large and fluffy with the color of a rather dark eggshell. The retention was nice and the lacing is thick and abundant, teasing me with its stickiness.
Smell: Very nutty and malty, but I didnt get pecans, but rather peanuts. The aroma is enjoyable, but too intense to be sniffing for an entire drink.
Taste: At first sip, I thought it tasted similar to Brooklyns Pennant Ale '55, but shortly after I received a sour shock to my taste buds that knocked me backwards. Thank goodness I was in a rolling chair because it was kind of fun, not like falling on my ass would have been.
Mouthfeel: Rather smooth and as I would imagine, out of characteristic.
Drinkability: Above average, but not something I would buy a case of.
Dont drink and review.
