Poured into a standard pint glass.
Golden amber with a nice one inch head that dissapates to a wispy foam and moderate lace.
Smells of basswood honey and centenial and galena hops. Earthy undertones and cara-munich malts.
Taste is a pleasant blend of centenial hops and honey dew mellon. There is an earthy quality that i like very much. I would classify this more of an APA than IPA. Not sure if the IBU's match the class with this one. But never-the-less one of Abita's best offerings. Many of there beers fall a bit short. This one falls short of a good IPA but a rather refreshing APA.
Very drinkable and enjoyable. This is a good brew for the price.
