A filtered deep amber with a polar bear-white two finger head. Thick and persistent lacing.
Ripe Banana-caramel aroma, with a hint of funky bayou swamp water gas.
An unorthodox burnt caramel taste, with light hoppy backwater bitterness. Very unique for an IPA! The burnt swampy hops linger just long enough.
Mouthfeel - good; rich but not thick.
Drinkability is okay once you get use to the off-centered flavor.
Overall: an interesting and above average IPA. I prefer a more traditional bitter/malty flavor, but I give this brew kudos for its unique attack...very creative!
