12-bottle, poured into a same-sized mug glass. This beer has a somewhat hazy (is it bottle conditioned?) amber color with a nice half-inch thick head on top of it. Nose doesn't have much hop presence: it does have a bit of fruitiness and some sweet malt, so it's not unpleasant. Bitterness makes more an appearance in the flavor, with a light citrusy flavor. It's backed by a solid malt, and a fairly fruity yeast character. The finish is modestly dry.
Pretty bland for an IPA. Abita occasionally shows a spark of brewing genius (like with their anniversary pils), but this beer is completely ordinary.
