Poured from the 12 oz. brown glass bottle into my Newcastle Brown Ale Geordie Schooner. The appearance is a light amber color, kind of reddish for an IPA. The first thing I do when I open a beer that I have not had before is put the bottle to my nose. The smell of this beer is sort of unusual, but interesting, with a complex variety of components. The taste too is unusual, in that there is more here than malt and hop flavors. The mouthfeel is sort of thin. There is cedar in the taste, overall, I like it, it's not so huge as some American IPA's can be.
Just a thought,
