Poured into a standard pint glass a dull clear light golden with a thinner but tight white head, muted aromas I picked up some toasted cereal grain and mild fruity malt.Flavors are malt tilted with decent complexity, somewhat juicy and fruity upfront with a lighty sweet caramel base and toasted creal-like in the finish,as for hop a citric quality comes thru in a passing finish as well. Not bad it is not as simple as one might imagine and it goes down very easy.

Appearance: medium head with consistent carbonation, a slightly dark golden color

Smell: melon, citrus, and a bit of earthy hops

Taste: light melon, light grapefruit, light hops

Mouthfeel: smooth, slightly watery, with a slightly sweet finish

Drinkability: I have gone back and forth and back again when reviewing this beer...The taste here is subtle and faint, unlike most pale ales I have tasted. I find I would get more enjoyment out of this by sipping it slowly to absorb its taste..This beer's first impression was weak--and was most likely a C, but it grew on me after I more sips. I will get this again for a hot summer day, but it is not something I could drink a six of.

Pours dark yellow with a white head. The aroma is earthy hops and malt. Not great, but not terrible. The flavor is dirty with earthy hops and some malt. Thin mouthfeel and medium carbonation. I am so-so about Abita beers and this one falls on the bad side of their range of beers in my opinion.

Clear pale straw colored with a bright white head that rises up firm and settles out quickly, but leaves a lumpy cap.

Inviting aroma of lemony, minty hops and honey malt. Flavors of doughey malt, some cinnamon and toffee, understated hops despite the hoppy nose, some cornish notes.

Moderate carbonation, smooth mouthfeel, tending slightly toward slick. Decent beer, but could use some more complexity and body.

Appears a copper amber colored body formnig a large fluffy thicket of off white head rising well above the rim of my glass. Head appears wth a dimpled biscuit texture and dwindles slow to leave behind specks of scattered lacing. Aroma is upfront with pine and citrus with mild caramel and a pale biscuit malt sweetness, of course the highlight here is the nice hop nose. Flavor enought bitterness to wake you up with those rolling hops giving me citrus and pine accents with a bready caramel biscuit malt presence that blends perfectly together. Really well made APA the website says they used a California ale yeast strain. This bottle states Restoration Pale Ale the brew that's listed as retired says something different on the label. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with slick hop oils lubricating things up a bit, goes down easy with smooth even natural carbonation. Drinkability is really effortless the glass will be gone and you'll be ready for another as far as availability I got this one in the mixed 12 pack and I'm sure there's more of it on the way.

On-tap at DBA Barbecue in Atlanta.

Pours a clear golden-copper color with a one-finger white head. The head recedes into a thin layer on top leaving decent lacing.

Smells of muted pale malts with moderate amounts of buttery diacetyl aromas Also present are very light earthy hop notes.

Tastes very similar to how it smells. Mildly grainy pale malt flavors kick things off. Joining in shortly thereafter are good amounts of buttery diacetyl. Midway through the sip earthy hop flavors make a brief appearance out from the background before fading out into a mildly bitter finish.

Mouthfeel is good. It's got a nice thickness with moderate carbonation.

Drinkability is not that great. I finished my glass but I wouldn't entertain the thought of another.

Overall this is a pale ale with almost no discernable hops. That coupled with the (at least in my opinion) over-the-top amounts of diacetyl make this a beer that could use a bit of tweaking.
