This is one of my favorite styles.
A: Amber with a lighter color that moves towards red at the sides. Lovely when held up to the light. Small amount of tight carbonation, white finger and a half head that dissipates within 30 seconds.
S: Slightly spicy and yeasty, mostly fruity. Some dark fruit, but also strawberry and banana.
T: Same fruits hit the back of my palate right away. A little bit later the spiciness comes in closer to the front of the mouth. Yeasty taste present near the end, after which everything fades away; not much of an aftertaste. This is fruiter than I'm used to for the style. It is somewhat sweet, as it should be, but the yeast and spice keep the flavor in check nicely.
M: I like it a bit thicker, but for only 8% it was pretty full.
D: No problemo.
This isn't extremely complex, but it's definitely good, and at something like $4 for a bomber, which is about the lowest I've ever seen for a larger craft brew bottle, it's a great alternative to some of the pricier dubbels out there. I will be getting this again.

A- deep clear amber with a thin, rocky tan head. Great head retention and well defined rings of lacing. Small, slow rising carbonation.
S- beautiful yeast character. Earthy, spicy, funky. Bready malt, caramel, and a touch of molasses. Not much fruit, but there is a hint of raisin if you look for it.
T- molasses, caramel, raisin, Cinnamon, clove, toasted bread, funky yeast. Surprisingly complex for an American dubbel.
M- medium bodied, creamy, fine carbonation.
O- very surprised, in a good way.
