A. Straight amber appearance with a two finger, fast-breaking white head. Minimal lacing.

S. Aroma of sweet malt - very biscuit like - with a hint of cherry liqeur.

T. Pretty average tasting - there's a bit of cherry and some malt with a hint of prickly hops.

M. Light bodied with moderate carbonation.

D. No mistake about it - this is a sessionable beer that would be best drunk in the summer given its lightness and low alcohol.

I kept hearing about Abita Beer, but the only one I have tried was the Purple Haze, which re-affirmed my dislike of fruit in beer. So I picked up some Abita Amber at my LBS, thinking this is a chance to rate the beer for what it is.

IMHO, this is what beers like Budweiser should taste like. It's overall average-ness makes me wonder, why am I paying premium-beer price for what average beer should taste like?

The Abita does look nice, I really like the colour. Everything else is just average, except the price.
