Single bottle (best by 01/25/11) poured into a shaker pint glass
Appearance: Mostly clear orange-amber beer (slight haze) with a light tan film of foam across the top. A few strands of lacing here and there, but mostly they kept sliding down the glass.
Smell: Faint malt with some mustiness in there. Maybe just a hint of citrus at the end. Not very strong - not bad, just not very strong.
Taste: Good balance between malt and bitter hop finish. The finish is crisp - helped by the carbonation. Otherwise not a lot going on.
Mouthfeel: Good carbonation with a nice body. Slick, but not watery.
Drinkabbility: Very drinkable and sessionable. While it's not an outstanding in flavor beer - it is very well balanced to the point that it goes fast and is just good enough that you don't mind having another. It's mild flavor profile makes it go very well with a lot of foods, I think. I think it would be outstanding with BBQ, burgers, and a variety of meaty dishes.
