Turbodog is a murky sort of medium brown, but bright in its own way. The tan head that forms on top of it has pretty good retention, falling from almost one finger slowly down to a sturdy layer of foam that drops moderate patching.
A lot of it is what I'd expect from an English Brown: plenty of nutty character, a bit of toastiness to the malts, which of course are in charge all the way, and some caramel. There may not be as much mineral or dryness as I expect, but it does have an earthiness.
The taste has a little more of the overall character I expect, only because along with the earthy tone is a bit of tea leaf, an aspect of the light hops bitterness. It also comes out with a little more toffee sweetness with the caramel, and overall just a bit more to the depth, character and flavor.
The feel is good, though the medium body goes somewhat thin at times and, while crisp later, it starts off just fizzy. It does smooth out, and it goes semi-dry from beginning to finish.
