Great way to raise money for the gulf oil spill. Awesome looking bottle.
First off, nice idea but not a German Pilsener at all. Yet another example of overly hopped Americanized pilsener. Very loosely fits into a pilsener category if even at all. Anyway...I'll judge it on how it tastes.
Pours a beautiful golden cloudy color with a nice thick head that sticks around.
Overly hoppy smell for the style. Some citrus and herbal hoppyness. Hops overpower other aspects of wheat and malt.
Wheat taste came through well despite the hops. Not much of any other malts detected. Overall above average.
Good mouth feel. Wheat makes it a little thick for the style.
For what it is its drinkable. Being 7% the alcohol could sneak up on you real easy. Def a good alternative to a true pils or wheat beer.
