22 oz bottle poured into a Hennepin tulip. There is a great looking white head. Great height, dense and sticky. Spidery lace circle the glass, with even stair-stepping at each sip. The color is a hazy golden yellow. A lot of that haze must be coming from the wheat malt.
The smell has a floral quality, with a lemony zest. Very bright aromas. The taste has more of that wheat citrus flavors. The carbonation is smooth though not as crisp as other Pilsners. It is a little oily and slick.
I don't know that I've had a Pilsner made with wheat, or if I have never this pronounced. Traditionalist may balk, but it does work out.
