Our Triple Haze is a take off of one of our most popular year round offerings, Purple Haze. It is a strong golden lager made with malted barley and wheat. Despite being strong (8% ABV) it is still light in color. It is hopped with German Perle hops to give the beer a delicate hop flavor. After filtering the beer, a generous amount of fresh raspberry puree is added. Because we use real fruit you may see raspberry pulp in the beer. This gives the beer a tartly sweet taste and aroma, as well as a bright purple color and haze.

I got a bomber of this today for $3 (probably been sitting around a while) at Andy's Liquor Marketplace.
This beer looks nice, bright orange fire with a meager smell of faint fruit and bready yeast. Taste is great, and the raspberries are incorporated very well (as far as my palate is concerned anyway). I know some people may find fruit beers to be rage-inducing abominations of the Beer Laws, but that isn't really a good reason to hate the product. Not noticing any heat at all from the 8% abv. Good and simple with a tinge of tartness, and extremely drinkable (I'm almost done with my glass!?) . Don't know what they were originally charging for it, but considering the reduced price point I'll probably pick up a few more bottles.

Poured from a growler into a tulip glass. A fitting beer for today. Happy Mardi Gras, y’all!
Look: Super hazy, vibrant orange with a lovely purple raspberry tint to it. A finger of fluffy bright white head, dissipating quickly into tiny little bubbles with very little lacing.
Smell: Raspberries and berries galore! A little cough syrupy and artificial, sweet candy smelling. But nevertheless, still very crisp and refreshingly floral at the same time.
Taste: Taste follows the nose, but not nearly as strong. The big bready malt backbone shows through, trying to balance the artificial raspberry sweetness and higher alcohol content at 8%. More balanced than Purple Haze or Andygator individually, basically a mixture of the two classics. Not bad.
Feel: Medium carb and body, light bitterness that balances with the sweetness of the berry and strong malt. You get a bit of that burning alcohol heat in the back of the throat when you swallow.
Overall: A fun limited offering from Abita. This is their first year to bottle it as well, but I’ve only had it on tap. I believe that this, as well as Strawgator, are two tasty beers that are more balanced than the individual beers that create them.

Enjoyed from the 22 oz bomber in a snifter. This golden lager pours a muddled, cloudy, dark amber with a nice head of white dissipating foam that settles to a thick ring, small pool, and excellent lacing. Nose of raspberries, honey, and subtle grain notes. Flavors lightly exceed the nose with honey and raspberries on all sides with a soft wheat flavor and smoothness that finishes on the back with a lightly tart raspberry and wheat grain note. Smooth and lightly creamy with a dry finish and extremely well hidden alcohol. Nice and ample. Would be perfect in the summer months.
Cheers

Think I found this one in the cooler after a camping trip.
Tan head with a grapefruit colored body. Smells of grapefruit and raspberry sweet tarts. Interesting so far. Tastes of grain a little raspberry and a bit tart at the end. Not as flavorful as it is easy.

A smooth raspberry wheat(ish) beer with a nice tart berry kick. Feels light but has a higher abv. Not bad for a growler fill.

Not great but good for high avb and a lighter flavored beer.
